During worship hours on Sunday, March 22, our church family is encouraged to assemble and take home Homeless "Blessing Bag" Care Packages to share in our community! Therefore, we are collecting the following items through Sunday, March 15: PERSONAL/ESSENTIAL CARE ITEMS (i.e. shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush/toothpaste, mouth wash, soap, body wash, floss, cotton swabs, comb/brush, hair ties, razor, chapstick, lotion, hand sanitizer, tissues, wet wipes, bandaids, tampons/sanitary pads, scarf, hat, gloves, first aid kit, new socks), SNACKS (i.e. small (8 oz) water bottles, trail mixes, granola bars, nuts, raisins, dried fruit, crackers, beef jerky, mints/gum), and EXTRAS (i.e. local resource guide, words and Bible verses of encouragement). The sky's the limit, but please consider size when purchasing as all items will be packaged together into a 2-gallon bag. We are also collecting MONETARY DONATIONS to be used to purchase needed items. Our "Scissors & Sass" Craft Group and others will be making fleece blankets to give out in addition to the bags. Our Sunday School children will also be adding a personalized message to each bag. Please bring all donated items to the designated spot in the fellowship hall by Sunday, March 15.
